What can we design to enhance
where you live, work and play?

This house was built in 1950 and underwent a major renovation starting with the shell and utilities. Electrical service was upgraded and the electrical panel replaced. The furnace and air conditioner were also replaced along with the sewer line serving the house.

Beginning with the roof, an architectural shingle was selected that enhanced the color of the existing brick. Some masonry repointing was done taking care to match the existing grout color. New energy efficient and easy care windows were installed using natural-finish wood trim on the interior. Old ornamental metal columns were replaced with warm redwood with adjacent redwood fencing to match. The concrete porch was in good shape; however, the driveway was re-built utilizing concrete and incorporating a grass-pave system.

On the interior, the wood floors were refinished, the walls repainted, and light fixtures replaced. All natural wood base boards were installed adding warmth. The fireplace hearth and surround was redesigned to be integrated with the redesigned house. The kitchen and baths were also gutted, redesigned and renovated.

The result of this fully renovated 1950s house is a contemporary, attractive home serving a young family for many decades to come.
